My go-to 15 minute make-up look...

This make up look is my go to look if i am running late to meet the girls for a night out or if my plans of a cosy night in change to dinner with friends or even a night out lol! This make up literally takes me 15mins to do, you can take more time and add more colours to your look but this is my quick, in a rush, go with all outfits make up look :)!

First off i prime my skin using Benefit porefessional, i then use either Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation in 1W2 Sand or MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation in NC20 depending on how my skin is that evening. I find using my Sigma F80 flat top kabuki brush great for blending in these 2 foundations, it works with each one perfectly! After blending out my foundation i conceal under my eyes, around my nose and any other little bits i want to hide with my MAC pro longwear concealer in NC20 and blend that in using my ring finger in a light tapping motion. Then to set everything i use Rimmel stay matte powder in translucent, i use a large fluffy face brush for this. The bronzer i use every single day is BareMinerals bronzer in the shade, skinny dip. Its a nice natural bronze colour with very little shimmer, don't be fooled by how dark it looks in the pan! I like using Benefit's rockateur blush on my cheeks, then a little MAC mineralise skinfinish in soft & gentle on my cheekbones, cupids bow, my nose and chin.

  1. On my eyes i start off by using a Maybelline colour tattoo in the shade 05 eternal gold all over my eye lid. Then taking my Urban Decay naked palette, i take the colour half baked onto a flat shader brush and pat it on over the Maybelline colour tattoo. Taking a MAC 217 brush and the colour smog i work this into my outer 'V' and then whats left on my brush lightly through my crease to blend any harsh lines away. I line my eyes using a thin liner brush and MAC gel liner in blacktrack. For mascara i use my all time favourite mascara ever, Maybelline the falsies flared in black. Also for my brows i fill them in using MAC charcoal brown on a MAC 266 small angled brush then highlight my brow bone slightly using MAC mineralised skinfinish in soft & gentle.

For my lips it usually just depends on what i'm doing with my hair, if my hair is up i sometimes go for a bold lip but most of the time i'll just wear a pinky coloured gloss on my lips, i'm loving NYX Cosmetics butter gloss in strawberry parfait just now which is a nice neutral pink gloss.

Hope you like this 15 minute make up look and find it helpful, let me know what you think :)

Red Carpet Manicure, The Best Home Gel Nail System...

I don't know about any of you guys but I personally can't have my nails without any sort of polish on them. The thought of having bare nails actually makes me feel slightly anxious (weird I know)! So every two weeks I was spending £35 on getting my nails done until I came across Red Carpet Manicure. The kit I bought cost me £83.99 from salon services (usually £89.99 for customers that don't have a salon services trade card) You can also purchase the kit from Red Carpet Manicure website www.redcarpetmanicure.co.uk
The Red Carpet Pro kit I purchased included:
Professional LED Light (with timer function)
PURIFY Pre & Post Application Cleanser (59ml)
PREP Max Adhesion Sanitizer (9ml)
STRUCTURE Base Coat Gel (9ml)
BRILLIANCE Seal & Shine Top Coat Gel (9ml)
ERASE Gel Nail Polish Remover (59ml)
REVITALIZE Nourishing Cuticle Oil
LED Gel Polish (9ml) in You Like Me, You Really Like Me

This kit has to be the quickest and easiest way to give yourself a gel manicure ever. It takes me roughly 30-45 minutes to give myself a perfect salon finished gel manicure in the comfort of my own home.  Here is the steps I take to make sure I achieve a perfect manicure.

1- Shape your nails, being qualified in Spa Manicure and Spa Pedicure this takes me very little time but for some one that is a beginner it can take a little extra time, it used to take me at least half an hour to get my nails the way I wanted, but as they say practice makes perfect :)! But please remember, when filing your natural nails only use the nail file in one direction, filing your nails like you are sawing a piece of wood will badly damage your nails and make them weak and brittle. I then check my cuticle's to see if they need pushed back and tidied up slightly. It isn't really necessary but I like to do it. But again please be very careful doing this you don't want to damage your cuticles because that will make them red and very sore.

2- I buff my nails with a white buffing block (69p form salon services) gently I only really want to remove the shine from my natural nail and smooth the nail plate out ever so slightly. I then take a lint free pad and put some Purify Pre & Post Application Cleanser on to it and wipe each nail just to make sure I have got rid off all dust from filing and buffing and to make sure all traces of oil ect are removed for the nail plate as this will help the gel stick to your nails a lot better.

3- To start your gel manicure you need to start off with a thin layer of Structure Base Coat over your nails and cure it under the lamp until the light goes off (approx. 30-45seconds). This will protect your nails from being stained from the colours of the polishes, just like you would use a base coat when using nail polish.

4- choose your colour, depending in what colour you choose depends on how many coats you will need to do. I have found that some colours only need 2 coats where others sometimes need 3 or 4 coats. Put a thin layer of polish on each nail and cure it in-between coats, if you put the polish on to thick it'll likely come off easily which isn't what you want.

5- Once you have got your polish to the colour you want on your nails it is now time for the Brilliance Seal & Shine Top Coat. Again put a thin layer all over the nail and cure in the LED lamp. Don't be shocked if your nails appear to glow a little in the lamp, you can't see it when there finished.

6- Once your nails are cured, take another lint free wipe with some Purify Pre & Post Application Cleanser and wipe all over each nail to remove the tacky layer left and to reveal a shiny and perfect gel manicure :)!

7- Finish your manicure off with a little drop off Revitalize Nourishing Cuticle Oil and massage into each finger. This stuff smells gorgeous!!

When you are ready to remove your gel manicure it is very simple. All you need is the red carpet manicure Mini Removal Kit -£2.95 from the Red Carpet Manicure Website- a buffing block and Erase Gel Nail Polish Remover.
First Buff your nails to remove the shiny top coat. Then stick a Foam Soak onto a Foil Sheet (from the mini removal kit) and soak the foam pad in some Erase gel nail polish remover. Place the soaked foam pad onto the buffed nail and wrap the top of your finger up with the foil the foam pad is stuck too. Leave all 10 foils on your fingers (or toes) for about 10-15 minutes then check to see if the polish comes off easily, use an wooden orange stick to remove the polish and if there is any still stuck on your nail, simply pop the foil and foam pad back onto the finger until the polish comes off easily. Please don't scrape your nails, this can do a lot of damage to your nails and cause ridges in your nails and also make them very weak too.

I really recommend the red carpet manicure if you are like me and like to have perfect nails all the time but don't have the time to sit in a salon for an hour and 15 minutes every 2 weeks, being a busy mum to a 4 year daughter. the polishes themselves cost £12.95 each but they last a long time. I also do my daughter's nails, she likes to have her nails done but with normal polish it last's a day and I'm always a little scared it comes off in her mouth but I don't have to worry about this when I put gel polish onto her nails, they stay un-chipped and perfect for up to 2 weeks (Just an FYI... I don't force my daughter to have her nails done, she asks to have them done as and when she wants them done)!
Below are some of the nails I have done using only Red Carpet Manicure.

Birchbox, November 2013...

I am loving Birchbox just now, that's 4 months in a row that there boxes have been FANTASTIC that have included some big brand names!
In this months box I received 7 items, 5 items that are normal for the box, a lifestyle extra and a goodie from birchbox :)!
the first thing was from Matriskin, its a 15ml jar sample of their high Performance Cream. I have yet to try this out but I will maybe do a blog post on it once I have tried it. It doesn't tell you the full size of the product but it retails from £80.50!!
Next I got a Weleda Replenishing Oat Shampoo. I'm guessing that this is also a sample as it is only 18ml and the full size costs £8.95.
There was a Chella Highlighter Pencil in the colour Ivory Lace, its full size i'm guessing and it is £15.95. I really like this pencil, reminds me of my Benefit High Brow pencil :)!
I was very delighted to see yet another Laure Mercier product :)!! This time I got the Long Las Mascara, not full size but its a perfect size for my on the go travel bag and it is a great mascara! the full size retails for £18.50
Then unfortunately there was another perfume sample :( Am I the only one that doesn't like perfume samples?! I got sent the English Laundry, Signature for Her Eau De Parfum, and it retails from £16.
The Lifestyle Extra this month was a selection of Tea's! there was an elderberry & Echinacea flavour, an earl grey flavour and a three cinnamon flavour. Unfortunately I only like normal tasting tea lol, but my mum loves these so she was quite happy to have them :).
And the goodie that birchbox included was a Birchbox pencil sharpener, it came in a pretty little black organza pouch. It is a double sided sharpener too so you can sharper your larger sized pancils as well as your normal sized ones :).

All in all I was very happy with birchbox again this month, I am looking forward to seeing what is in next months box :)
please feel free to leave a comment and let me know if you got anything different in your November Birchbox :) also please follow!!

Miss GlossyBox November/December 2013...

So after 2 months of disappointing Glossyboxes I decided I was going to try out the Miss Glossybox that is available every 2 months for £7 plus p+p so it works out around £10 for every 2 months.

I got my box in 2 days ago and this is me just getting round to opening it, and if I'm honest I was pleasantly surprised with what was inside.
In side there was a 50ml can of So...?Sinful body spray. It actually smells quite nice, its a very girlie smell and its an ideal size to put in my handbag for when I'm out and about.
There was a Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 shadow/eyeliner pencil in a bronzy shade. will be very nice to add to a neutral smoky eye look.
Next is another perfume sample (Hate Perfume Samples!!!) that my daughter will do doubt have because I don't like the perfume. I got a sample of Lacoste 'Touch of Pink'
Then there was Little Mix nail wraps inspired by Jesy from Little Mix, these are actually pretty cool looking. Jesy says these nail wraps are inspired by art pop, comic book and graffiti and she has done a great job! These would look great for most occasions and I think you would have people commenting on them everywhere you went :)!

And last but not least there was a full sized bottle of Clear Start from Dermalogica, it is a Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash. My skin tends to be breaking out quite a lot just now so I'm looking forward to trying this.

All in all I think I actually prefer this box to the last 2 glossyboxes I have received.

leave me a comment and ket me know what you think if this Miss Glossybox :)

My advice on Autumn/Winter skin care...

Now that it is very safe to say that the lovely summer weather has left us for another year, the colder, damp and dark nights start to creep in way to quickly. You wrap up warm, the heating is on, fires are burning and a nice soak in a hot bath after being outside is bliss. But whilst we are looking after ourselves making sure we stay nice and warm with being cosy in our houses and being wrapped up in our big warm winter jackets when out and about, what steps are you taking to look after your skin?  Most people will just continue to use their every day routine they have used all through the summer but sometimes more often than not this usually isn’t enough to keep your skin in a perfect condition.  There are some easy steps you can follow to ensure you have gorgeous hydrated, glowing skin this autumn and winter.

1 – Cleansing – Firstly you should always cleanse your face twice daily throughout the year not just in the colder months, you need to cleanse to get rid off all the dirt and make up your skin can collect throughout the day and at night when you are sleeping. To me your cleanser for the colder months should be a soap free cleansing milk or balm. These don’t take as much moisture out of your skin as say a foaming or gel cleanser and they are a little gentler on your skin. Also if you massage your cleanser into your skin using circular movements for 2mins you will start to bring more blood and oxygen to the surface of your skin making it appear instantly brighter and a bit healthier. Always make sure you dry your skin completely by patting your skin with a clean dry towel. Please don’t rub it could damage your skin plus it can hurt too.
2- Facial Scrub – I find that scrubs with finer grains in them work better on skin than ones with slightly larger grains in them. A facial scrub should ideally only be used once a week and after cleansing. Scrubs are good for helping remove dead skin cells and giving your skin back its natural glow but using them to much or scrubbing them to hard into your face can damage your skin and leave it red and sore to the touch. Rub the scrub in circular motions into your face using your 2 ring fingers as they are the most gentle and won’t apply too much pressure.
3 – Add a serum to your skincare if you don’t already use one. This will add an extra layer of hydration to your skin and it will also help build up a protective layer over your skin protecting it from going in from the cold outdoor weather and into the warm indoor heat and vice versa. I have been using one I got in one of my subscription beauty boxes. It’s a radiance serum containing aloe vera & manuka honey by the company Pukka. It works really well with my oily skin and with it being 97.5% organic it is pretty healthy for my skin too.
4 – Moisturising- Moisturising should be done twice daily after cleansing and serum being applied. Your day time moisturiser should be lighter than your night time cream and it should always contain an SPF, You might think the sun’s harmful UV rays aren’t around any-more because it has got cold but they are, so please keep on protecting your skin with an SPF. Your night time moisturiser can be a bit heavier than your day time one so you can properly rehydrate your skin whilst you’re sleeping. You can quite often get a day and night moisturiser set to suit all skin types. Also if you are like me and you don’t feel very comfortable without a little colour to your face through the day you can replace your day time moisturiser for a tinted one or even a beauty balm (bb cream). Most tinted moisturisers and beauty balms contain an SPF.
5 – Lip Scrubs – The cold weather is terrible for bringing out dry, chapped and sore lips, but I prevent this by using a lip scrub every 2nd day. You can either buy one from a shop – I love the peppermint lip scrub from Lush – or you could make a very simple one at home in 2 minutes which is what I do if I run out of my usual one. All you have to do is get a small jar with a lid to keep your scrub in firstly. Then get some solid honey (natural) and granulated sugar. Mix one teaspoon of honey with 2 and half / 3 teaspoons of sugar until a paste is made, place what you have mixed up into your jar and use on your lips as and when you want/need to. Plus you don’t have to worry about any nasty stuff getting into your mouth as it is completely natural, homemade and it tastes pretty yummy as well. I recommend keeping it in a cool dark place and throwing what is left away after one week and make a fresh batch.
6 – Lip Balm – I love lip balms, I own too many of them lol! Lip balms are a good way of keeping your lips hydrated and protected from drying out in the warm and cold air. At night time before I head to my bed I tend to use the Burts Bees Beeswax Lip Balm with Vitamin E and peppermint on my lips. It keeps them hydrated through the night. Throughout the day time I have been finding myself using the Maybelline baby lips more than I normally would, they are so moisturising and the cherry me, pink punch and the peach kiss also have a nice little hint of colour too which means I can get away without putting lippy on all the time.

Also drinking around 8 glasses of water per day and eating foods with those essential fatty acids omega 3,6 and 9 can work wonders for your skin by keeping it hydrated and protected from within. These can be found in foods such as fish, walnuts, almonds, seeds, and certain oils. I take supplements rather than eat fish as I don't like the taste of seafood.

Treat yourself..
Being a busy mum to my constantly on the move 4year old, I look forward to taking one night out of my week once I have my daughter tucked up and sleeping in bed to enjoy a complete mummy pamper night starting off with a relaxing hot bath with a lovely smelling bath bomb from Lush. Face masks are also very relaxing. I buy face masks from the Montagne Jeunesse range, they’re available in shops like boots, superdrug, savers, the supermarkets and they usually only cost 99p per mask (very inexpensive for 20 minutes of relaxation and they’re great for your skin too). Then I like nothing more than to get snuggled up on the couch with a large mug of hot chocolate topped with cream in my onesie/pjs and catch up on my soaps I have missed!

I hope all you busy mummies find this skin care blog useful in helping you get perfectly hydrated and naturally glowing skin over these cold wintery months.

My Quick Everyday Autumn/Winter Eye Make-Up look..

Heres my every day eye make up look and the products I use :), hope you like!

First off, i always prime my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion, it keeps your eye shadow in place all day long.
Colours Used
I have been using some of my new MAC & Urban Decay colours i got last week every day since i got them!

First I use MAC's Phloof! all over my eyelid, this gives you a nice natural base colour. I have been using the a Real Techniques Shading brush.

On the outer corners of my eye's and through the crease i have been using MAC's Satin Taupe. This and Phloof! go great together. I just use the same brush as before for this.
I then take a MAC 217 brush and blend the edges out slightly.

Then on top of the Satin Taupe just through the crease using a MAC 217 brush i blended in a little Urban Decay Last Call from the Ammo Palette.

I take a MAC 266 angled brush & use some MAC Carbon along my top lash line.

For my lashes I am loving Maybeline The Falsies Flared mascara! It is amazing!!

The finished look.

Please let me know what you think,

Can't Say No To BareMinerals...

So last week when i wasn't too well i decided to do a little online 'window' shopping, was intending on just having a look to see what i could put on my xmas list to give to my hubby! But for me that never seems to happen, even today i came on my laptop to solely write some blog post's and i have already purchases the Latest In Beauty's new box The Glamour Edit! I honestly can't stop myself! I will write a blog post about that box once it gets here :D! Back to what i came on to write about, as i said the other day i was looking online for some xmas present list ideas and whilst i was looking on the QVCuk website i seen a really nice BareMinerals set for £38.28. It comes with 3 Marvelous Moxie lipglosses, 3 mini ready blushers, a ready blush brush and a cute pale pink make up bag :)!

There is a lipgloss to match each blush which i thought was fantastic, trying to sometimes find blush & lip colours that go together can be a bit of a pain at times! The 3 Marvelous Mocie colours you get are Trail Blazer (gold beige) Hot Shot (candy pink) & Rebel (mauve pink). The 3 Mini Ready Blush colours you get are The Turn On (candy pink) The One (nude pink) and The Thrill (vibrent coral).

I put Trail Blazer gloss & The Thrill bush together

I then put Rebel gloss and The One blush together

And finally i put Hot Shot gloss and The Turn On blush together

The lipglosses are 4.5ml each which is full size and the blushers are mini sized (3g) but there are a good size for being 'mini' lol! They are also the perfect size to pop into your make up bag for when you are out and about :)!
Please leave a comment telling me which set out of the 3 lipglosses and blushers are your favourite and why :).
Please don't forget to follow my blog, and if there is any future blogs you want me to write please let me know :)!

I only went in for some brush cleanser....

So yesterday when I was in Glasgow with my mum we had a little look around the shops, nothing unusual for us lol. Shopping is one of the things my mum and I do very well together :D!! So I popped into MAC, only for brush cleanser as that's all I needed but whenever I go into MAC I always end up leaving with a lot more than I had originally went in for.. Ooopps!! So I got myself some brush cleanser and then I ended up getting 4 eye shadows and a palette to put them in! To be fair I had been looking at these colours for a while and my mum said she would treat me if I wanted them so it would have been rude to say no don't you think ;). The 4 shades I got were Phloof!, Satin Taupe, Charcoal Brown & the famous Carbon. I love the way all these colours look together in the palette, I will maybe post an every day look using these colours at some point, what do you think? Let me know in the comments box below :)!!

I also took my mum to the Urban Decay counter in Debenhams in the St Enoch Centre. My mum is very much against using any products or buying any products for herself that is tested on animals, everything has to have that 'leaping bunny' logo on it or she wont buy it for herself. Since Urban Decay products are Cruelty Free registered, she was very excited to see what type of products they had to offer so I decided that I would treat my mum to what ever she wanted. We both ended up getting the Ammo Palette and mum also got the anti-aging eye shadow primer potion.

Beauty Favourites for October 2013...

Hey guys :) I thought I would start doing a monthly beauty favourites blog for you all each month :)!
I have chosen 5 products to feature in my October Monthly favourites this month :)

First off I have Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara Flared. I love this mascara, no need to wear any false eyelashes for me any more! I usually put 2 coats off this on but one coat is probably all I actually need, its just habit for me to put on 2.
I got this from Asda when I was doing my food shopping, I think it cost me around the £5 mark so not expensive at all.
Before & After 1 Coat.

Next up I have Bare Minerals bronzer in the shade The Skinny Dip. This is the first bronzer I have tried that doesn't make me look as though I have orange powder all over my face. having quite light skin its hard to find bronzers that are a natural colour. This is quite a light colour but it gives a nice natural glow, don't be fooled at how dark it looks in the pan.

When doing my make up each day this month I have a found myself reaching for my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette more and more. The colours in the palette are great for nice sutble every day make up looks by using the softer shades but you can also turn into night time looks buy using the darker colours too. Plus its small enough to put into your make up bag :).

The foundation I'm loving this month is the Revlon ColourStay 24hr for combination/oily skin. I've had this foundation for a few months now but I hadn't ever properly used it before and now I love it! I've been using the shade 180 Sand Beige and its the perfect colour for my skin just now. Its got great coverage and it hides all my acne scarring ect really well. I apply it with either my beauty blender or just my fingers, it blends in nicely too and it does last along time, maybe not the full 24 hours on my skin because it is so oily but it does last longer than the majority of my other foundations.

Lastly I have a blush from Nyx Cosmetics in the shade Summer Peach. This is a lovely soft colour, it actually reminds me very much of my Nars Blush in Orgasm except I would say the Nyx Summer Peach is a bit more intense colour wise. Its a colour you can wear for both day time and for going out at night too.

Glossybox Uk October 2013

Hey guys, I received my october glossybox  yesterday and to say i was disappointed when i opened it would be an understatement! Comparing this box to the last 2 fantastic boxes and the Exclusive Espa Editon box i've had has made me slightly unhappy.

Here is what was in my box:
MeMeMe Cherub's Blush, Full Size (£5.50 for 12ml) - Cheek & Lip Tint, to me its a cheap version/copy of Benefits Benetint. It has the same colour as benetint, same liquidy consistancy, smell ect. I don't like cheek/lip stains that much so i probably won't use it & give it away.

Katy Perry - Killer Queen Fragrance (£29.50 for 50ml). I hate receiving silly little perfume samples, every time i'm shopping in a shop with fragrances i get a load of the samples if i ask for free! As much as i like the perfume, a larger bottle would be better!

Mono - Illuminating Primer (£24.95 for 50ml). While this primer is good for your skin since it's paraben free, it has vitamin E (to detoxify the skin) and Cassia Alata Leaf Extract (protects and prevents skin against UV damage) I feel this product is far to heavy for my skin, having really oily skin (as you may know from previous blogs) i can't use alot of heavy things on my face without looking completely shiney & oily within 5 mins. I used the littlest amount of product and it felt like it took forever to get it rubbed into my skin!

Premae - Multi-Vit Smoothie Serum (£22.50 for 50ml), to be honest this product went straight to my mum, the slight smell that came from the product wasn't to my taste so i haven't used it.

Then lastly there was a Gamila Secret -Cleansing Bar (Full size is £21). I felt the same about this as i did the Smoothie Serum, it went straight to my mum because the scent to me was awful!

The name of this box was dark romance, but to me it should have been called something else as from what i received, there is no dark romance in this box. I mean instead of getting a free perfume sample (that i could have got from my local boots or debenhams myself) a nice deel purple/red/black nail polish would have been nicer to start with.

Let me know what you thought of this months glossybox :)

Exclusive Edition ESPA Glossybox UK - October 2013

Hey guys :)
So I got an email from Glossybox on the 4th October stating that the exclusive edition ESPA glossybox was back by popular demand so I had to get my hands on one! This box cost £20 plus P&P so it came to a total of £22.95.
The box arrived yesterday (10th October) and I had decided that when I ordered this box it was going to be a gift for my mum for her birthday in November. Even though her birthday is in November I asked her to open it there and then as I was excited to see what was in the box, as was she.

The box is a brown/silvery colour with the black glossybox logo on the lid (if my mum doesn't find a use for this box I will) In side the box it was all wrapped in deep purple tissue paper with a ribbon to match. Tucked into the ribbon there was a gift voucher for £30 to spend on Espa's website on what ever product/s you wish with no minimum spend! So the box had already paid for its self and more before the tissue paper was even opened!!! Inside there is 5 sample sized products, a 50ml Energising Shower Gel, 50ml Energising Body Lotion, 7ml Skin Radiance Mask, 7ml Skin Radiance Moisturiser and 3ml 24Hour Replenishing Eye Moisturiser. While none of these product are full sized, they are good sizes to try the products out before using your gift card.

All products that came in the box

The Energising Shower Gel full size is 200ml and retails for £18
The Energising Body Lotion full size is 200ml and retails for £25
Full sized Skin Radiance Mask is 25ml for £34
Full sized Skin Radiance Moisturiser is 25ml also for £34
and a full sized 24Hour Replenishing Eye Moisturiser is 25ml for £35
While I can't comment on these products personally as they are a gift for my mum I am looking forward to hearing what her impressions are on them, I might even do a little Q&A with my mum on her experience with all the different products and what her likes and dislikes were.
If you want any more info on these products visit www.espaonline.com/glossy
Keep an eye out for my regular October GlossyboxUK review.. Coming soon!!

My Daily Dermalogica Skincare Routine.

hey guys, today I have decided to write a blog post on my daily skincare routine (you may have guessed that from the title of the blog lol) So my skin is horrible in my opinion, it is constantly oily, my make up never stays on longer than 2/3 hours, Its prone to breakouts and just never really feels 100% clean.. that was before I purchased my new skincare products from Dermalogica!!

after doing some looking around online for a new skincare I came across the dermalogica website. As I was looking around on the website I noticed they have a selection of skincare kits. I seen there was one for oily skin so I decided to purchase it. it cost me £25.50 and I got some free sample goodies with it also. The sizes of the bottles in this kit are travel size bottles so its perfect for trying the product out before you buy the full sized ones.

In the kit for oily skin I got Dermal Clay Cleanser 50ml, Multi-Active Toner 50ml, Oil Control Lotion 22ml, Skin Prep Scrub 22ml, Total Eye Care 4ml, Pre-Cleanse (sample) and Skin Refining Masque (sample).
All I can say on these products is WOW!! I have never had a skincare that has worked so well on my skin.

The Dermal Clay Cleanser leaves your face feeling clean, cool and refreshed. You simply dampen your face, place a small amount of cleanser on your hands, massage into your face then rince with warm water. I use this morning and night.
The Multi-Active Toner is nothing like I have ever had before, it comes in a spray bottle which you spray all over face after cleansing. It smells and feels nice and cooling on my skin.
The Oil Control Lotion has to be applied directly after the toner. Its a lightweight oil free lotion that doesn't leave my face feeling greasy like some other 'oil free' lotions do.
The Skin Prep Scrub is a very gentle exfoliator, I use it after I have cleansed my face once or twice a week depending on how my skin is that week. It has very fine little grains in it so it doesn't feel as though it is scratching the surface of your skin away but the results afterwards are fab :)!
The Total Eye Care cream is a nice lightweight eye cream, there's not much I can really say on it lol! I have to admit I don't use it all the time mainly because I forget to put it on before I go to bed lol.

The Pre-Cleanse sample I got was a tiny little sachet but I got 2 uses out of it. It is a pre-cleansing oil which you massage onto your face whilst it is dry and you have dry (clean) hands. Then I wet my hands and massage the oil again until it turns a white colour then I rinse it all off and cleanse my face with the clay cleanser.  Having very oily skin I was a bit wary of using oil on my skin but the after effects were amazing. The oil helps break down all the make up and dirt from your skin so the cleanser can do its job and cleanse the skin.
I have yet to use the Skin Refining Masque sample I received but I will update this when I do eventually use it.

All in all my review on this particular kit from Dermalogica is that it is AMAZING. Its an affordable way to try out the products before you buy the full sized ones.  I've had this kit for 2 and a half weeks now and I still have 2/3rd's of the bottles full. My skin these days is smooth, mostly oil free, my make up stays on, my breakout of spots has cleared right up, I just can't fault these products at all! I will be purchasing the full sized products when these ones run out :)!!

Glossybox September UK, The London Edition

This month I could not wait to receive my glossybox! The limited edition boxes are always great! If you are interested in signing up to glossybox you can find out all the info on glossybox at www.glossybox.co.uk

This months box has to be the best box I have received so far! And before we get into what was in the box can I say how much I just love the actual box and tissue paper it came in!

Now onto what was inside the box...... :D

In it this month I got a set of pre glued eylure eye lashes worth £5.06, www.eylure.com

there was a 'be a... bombshell' eye liner pen in the colour Onyx 3g (full size) worth $14 so about £8.80, www.beabomshell.com

a Toni&Guy classic shine gloss serum 30ml (full size) worth £7.19, www.boots.com

The final product that got me super excited as it was completely unexpected, was an HDbrows blusher 2 (full size!!) blush worth £17.95 www.hdbrows.com
(It is a gorgeous colour, it actually reminds me quite a lot of my Nars Orgasm blush, just not as pigmented)

So the total for this box was approx. £46.44 (not bad for a free box thanks to using my glossydots :D)

On the card that tells you about the products there is a free gift notice telling you to take the information card to the nearest Elizabeth Arden counter within your local Debenhams for a free 100ml UNTOLD body lotion.
